Force couplings of shafts with hubs
Calculation of force shaft-hub couplings has been added to the MITCalc
engineering calculation package. It deals with the design and check of
interference fits and the design and check of clamping connections. The
program designs the desired fit and supports ANSI B4.1, ANSI B4.2, ISO 286, ISO 1829, ISO 2768, EN 20286
and JIS B 0401 standards.
Slender strut (column) buckling
MITCalc has further been extended by a module intended for optimum
diameter design and strength check of slender strut subjected to buckling. The
calculation uses procedures according to the Johnson, Tetmajer, Euler and
Secant method. Besides a twenty-user profile, the program also includes a
profile database according to DIN (1025, 1026, 1028, 1029, 1024) and AISC
(W, S, C, L, LU).
